The Nomos Tangente was born in the early 1990s, at a moment when German watchmaking was rediscovering its voice after decades of silence. Nomos chose a different path from the start. Rather than looking backward with nostalgia or chasing excess, it embraced clarity, proportion, and purpose. The Tangente 38 became the modern expression of that idea.
Its design spoke the language of Bauhaus, form follows function, nothing unnecessary, nothing missing. The dial was open and precise, with crisp numerals, a fine railway minute track, and slender blued hands that seemed to float effortlessly across a field of white. At 38 millimeters, the case gave the Tangente a confident presence, larger than its traditional predecessors, yet still restrained, still composed.
Inside, the movement told an equally important story. Crafted in Glashütte, it reflected Nomos’ commitment to independence and engineering honesty. Every tick was deliberate. Every component finished not for spectacle, but for longevity. This was not a watch chasing trends, it was a watch designed to outlast them.
The watch we have here is new and unworn that comes with its full set box and papers. The watch wad purchased new in Japan in February 2020. 6 years later, left inside a box forgotten, we are presenting you the opportunity to give this watch the life it should had deserved.
Condition Report:
The watch is in new and unworn condition. It has all the complete box and papers which includes the original manual, guarantee, and original papers with the serial number of the watch. The tag is still intact stuck to the original Nomos leather strap. There are only very minor hairline scratches visible at the caseback of the watch. Aside from it, the watch is merely brand new.
