Citizen Cosmotron Year 1974

Bringing you this Citizen Cosmotron Electronic from 1974 in nearly “NOS” New Old Stock condition! This Citizen Cosmotron is as cool and and as quirky as it gets. Let’s start with the movement itself, the cal. 7803 in this Cosmotron is basically a hybrid movement, combining mechanical parts and battery power as well. This type of movement is called an electronic movement, which then became replaced with the more accurate quartz movement. This electronic movement in this Cosmotron is just so cool, as the second hand sweeps like a traditional automatic watch, but uses a battery just like a quartz watch. Moving on to the the funky dial and shape of the case, we think that this is what makes the watch so cool and quirky. The gradient green and silver dial makes the overall watch looks more funky than a whole Kool & the Gang album. Combined with the “spaceship” like case design, makes the overall appearance of the watch ultra-galactic!  

Condition report: 
This is in overall exceptional condition. The original dial shows no signs of wear, with all the original hands and day and date wheel looking brand new. The case is unpolished and is in exceptional condition, showing only very light scratches. The day and date wheel works normally and the watch had been recently serviced by us. The watch comes with a new aftermarket Italian leather strap, giving the overall appearance of a nearly new old stock watch.
