Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope Date - Full Set Box & Papers 2017
Designed under the philosophy of legendary Bauhaus artist Max Bill, this chronograph is a lesson in restraint, where every line, numeral, and proportion exists for a purpose.
The deep black dial gives the familiar Max Bill language a more contemporary edge. Slim indices stretch effortlessly across the dial, while the domed crystal creates that unmistakable distortion at certain angles, almost as if the watch was drawn rather than manufactured. The twin chronograph registers sit in perfect balance, proving that even complication can coexist with simplicity.
But what makes this example particularly special is its complete full set condition, accompanied by its original Junghans box, warranty papers, and signed documentation. Turn the watch over, and the signed caseback reminds you of the man behind the design, a subtle tribute to one of modern design’s most influential minds.
Condition report:
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The original dial is in excellent condition showing minimal wear. The hands shows some light patina. The case is unpolished and shows minor scratches throughout, mostly present on the case-back. The original leather strap shows some minimal wear. The movement is in great condition and is still keeping good time.
