Seiko King Quartz Year 1977

The “King” series in the Seiko line-up was introduced as an alternative to the Grand Seiko, which up to this day is known to be Seiko’s luxury offering on the higher end of the market. The “King” series would typically have a high end finishing and attention to detail on its dial and polishing on the case. The “King Quartz” was an introduction to the Quartz boom in the 70s over the many Quartz watches that Seiko invented in their line-up. Their philosophy stayed true to their mechanical counterpart, offering high end finishing and attention to detail on the “King” series while offering the durability, dependability, and precision of a Quartz movement. 
This particular watch we have here comes with a very attractive champaign honeycomb dial with gold hour marker indices and text. It also comes with a gold-filled case that we think compliments the champaign honeycomb dial very well. The “King” series is more than just a step above over a regular Seiko, it is an understated statement of luxury yearned only for the sophisticated taste. 

Condition report:

This Seiko King Quartz is in overall good condition with some minor flaws. The original champaign honeycomb dial is in beautiful condition showing little signs of age. The hands are all original and in beautiful condition. However, some of the gold on the gold-filled case has started to worn off from decades of wear and polishing. The watch is still keeping accurate time and working well
