Few names in Swiss watchmaking carry the quiet prestige of Girard-Perregaux. Founded in 1791, the manufacture earned its reputation not through bold marketing, but through exceptional movement design and chronometric excellence.
This Girard-Perregaux “Tank” Ref. 9595NF perfectly captures that philosophy. Inspired by the clean rectangular proportions that defined classic dress watches of the mid-20th century, its angular gold-plated case is refined without being ostentatious. Sharp chamfered edges frame a beautifully brushed silver sunburst dial, where slim applied baton markers and minimalist stick hands create an elegant, uncluttered appearance.
Unlike many dress watches of its era, this example remains wonderfully honest. The dial has retained its original finish, with crisp printing and applied GP logo still beautifully preserved. Powering the watch is the Girard-Perregaux Calibre 780-779, a slim manual-winding movement that reflects the manufacture’s long-standing expertise in mechanical watchmaking.

• Hands: Original hands.
• Case: The original gold plating had partly wear off exposing the stainless steel case in some areas, however the case still presents its shape nicely.
• Crown: Original signed crown
• Bezel: Good.
• Crystal: In good condition.
• Strap/bracelet: Aftermarket mesh bracelet with full links.
• Movement: The movement had been calibrated and is keeping good time.
• Overall condition: The watch is in overall condition showing some honest wear primarily on the case, with the dial still preserved beautifully.
