Seiko Kirasuri Dial Vintage - ref. 5931-5350 Dec 1981 Stunning Condition
This vintage Seiko Quartz Kirasuri Dial captures an era when Seiko was experimenting not only with technology, but with texture, light, and subtle artistry. Housed in its softly faceted gold-toned case, the watch carries the unmistakable confidence of late 70s to 80s Japanese design: elegant, geometric, and effortlessly restrained.
But the true magic lies within the dial.
At first glance, it appears warm champagne-gold. Look closer, and the surface reveals itself a delicate kirasuri-style textured finish, reminiscent of woven silk, handmade paper, or scattered metallic dust frozen beneath crystal. Under soft lighting, it glows like aged parchment touched by gold leaf. Turn the wrist, and suddenly the texture awakens, reflections dance across the surface, transforming the dial into a shimmering landscape of light and shadow.
Its minimalist baton markers and slim hands allow the dial to remain the protagonist. No clutter, no unnecessary complication, just pure design harmony paired with Seiko’s reliable quartz precision.
Condition report:
The watch is in overall excellent condition. The spectacular kirasuri dial is in beautiful condition. There is a scratch on the crystal near the “seiko” print which appears like a smudge on that area. The gold-filled case is in good condition showing no signs of fading. The watch comes with an aftermarket leather strap. The quartz movement is keeping accurate time.
