Long before the modern dive watch became a luxury icon, Swiss manufacturers were competing to produce robust, reliable tool watches for a rapidly growing generation of recreational divers. Among them was Titoni, one of Switzerland’s oldest independent family-owned watchmakers.
By the late 1960s and early 1970s, Titoni introduced the Seascoper collection, its answer to the era’s booming demand for professional dive watches. Designed as a true sports watch rather than a fashion statement, the Seascoper featured durable stainless steel construction, a rotating timing bezel, high water resistance, and reliable automatic movements, embodying everything expected of a serious dive watch during the period.
This Titoni Seascoper Ref. 377-360 perfectly captures that spirit. Rated to 660 feet (200 metres), it was built at a time when such specifications represented genuine professional capability. The sharply faceted stainless steel case is complemented by its classic black rotating dive bezel, while the acrylic crystal and magnified date window provide unmistakable vintage charm. Clean baton markers and sword-style hands maintain excellent legibility.
Perhaps the most captivating feature of this particular example is its beautifully aged silver dial. Decades of natural tropical ageing have created a unique constellation of warm speckled patina across the surface.
